Internet special feature to mark the 75th anniversary
of Korea’s liberation
August 15, Juche 34 (1945) is the day of Korea’s liberation.
The Japanese imperialists, who occupied Korea by force of arms in the early 20th century (1905), enforced barbarous rules of colonial repression and inflicted immeasurable misfortunes and sufferings on the Korean people. The Korean people had to obey the Japanese law or die. The Korean nation stood at the crossroads of life and death.
