Visit to Ministry of State Security
DPRK Marshal Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, visited the Ministry of State Security on the occasion of its founding anniversary.
He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Military Commission, and Jang Song Thaek, vice-chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.
With a bright smile on his face, he sent warm greetings to the security personnel in enthusiastic cheers and congratulated them greeting the founding anniversary of the security institution.
Expressing his expectation that all the security personnel of the ministry would creditably fulfil their honourable mission to decisively frustrate the moves of the imperialists and reactionaries to stifle the DPRK, he had a photo session with them in front of the statue of General Kim Jong Il.
He then received a detailed report on the state security work and the progress made in the on-going operations from the commanding officers of the ministry.
He highly appreciated the feats performed by the security personnel of the ministry, noting that they firmly defended the socialist country by mercilessly foiling the plots of the enemies who are resorting to all sorts of despicable moves to check the victorious advance of the Korean revolution.
The ministry has a very important role to play in safeguarding the sovereignty of the country and the nation, he underscored, setting forth important tasks to be fulfilled by the security personnel.
