The Okryu Children’s Hospital is located in the Munsu area of Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The six-storey hospital opposite the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital looks like a building of lego bricks, and evokes a sense of stability as it resembles a baby running to the embrace of mother.

It has treatment rooms, operating theatres, sickrooms, study rooms and indoor playground for children in the convalescent stage, and resting halls.

Over the past decade after its inauguration, a large number of children have received medical treatment free of charge and recovered their health there.
