There are many rare and beautiful natural monuments in Korea with scenic mountains and clean water. Among them is Paekak Falls in Chonbulsan-ri, Yonggwang County, South Hamgyong Province. The waterfall is surrounded by dense forests of oak, pine and larch, steep mountains and deep valleys. It has a rich water source all the year round, and the water forms a stream, a tributary of the Chonbulsan Stream.
