Nochi, Food on Harvest Moon Day

September 25 this year is Harvest Moon Day, a folk holiday in the DPRK.
On the day, Korean ancestors would pray for good harvest before reaping the crops of the year. They celebrated it as the greatest folk holiday of the year.
Nochi is one of foods (fermented glutinous rice pancake) on Harvest Moon Day. It is usually made with glutinous rice or glutinous millet or glutinous foxtail millet. But the Pyongyangites prepared it only with glutinous rice.
The food is good to health, as it is made by kneading rice flour with hot water, fermenting it with malt powder, and frying it in oil.
