WPK Central Military Commission Highly Praises Combat Sub-units of Armed Forces of DPRK for Performing Heroic Feats in Operations to Liberate Kursk Area of Russian Federation

The Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea highly appreciated the combat sub-units of the armed forces of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea for performing heroic feats in the operations to repulse and frustrate the grave sovereignty infringement by the Ukrainian authorities, who invaded the territory of the Russian Federation, and completely liberate the occupied area of Kursk Region.

The WPK Central Military Commission clarified as follows in its written stand sent to Rodong Sinmun and the Korean Central News Agency on April 27:

[Anecdotes] :: On the Day of First Democratic Election

November 3, 1946 witnessed the elections for the provincial, city and county people’s committees, the first of their kinds in the history of Korea.

At 10:00 am Comrade Kim Il Sung (1912-1994) went to the polling station of Sub-constituency No. 52 of Constituency No. 6, Pyongyang Municipality. When he arrived at the polling station, the voters heartily welcomed him with loud cheers reflecting their infinite reverence for him. In the past they had been subjected to all sorts of maltreatment without having any right under the harsh rule by the Japanese imperialists, but he had put forward them as the legitimate masters of the country. After waving back to the cheering crowd, he went to the notice board for candidate. Looking at the brief record of the candidate, he said with satisfaction that the candidate was a worker.
