WPK Central Military Commission Highly Praises Combat Sub-units of Armed Forces of DPRK for Performing Heroic Feats in Operations to Liberate Kursk Area of Russian Federation

The Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea highly appreciated the combat sub-units of the armed forces of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea for performing heroic feats in the operations to repulse and frustrate the grave sovereignty infringement by the Ukrainian authorities, who invaded the territory of the Russian Federation, and completely liberate the occupied area of Kursk Region.

The WPK Central Military Commission clarified as follows in its written stand sent to Rodong Sinmun and the Korean Central News Agency on April 27:

[Anecdotes] :: Attending a Medical Operation for a Veteran

One autumn day an anti-Japanese war veteran was rushed to hospital. Diagnosed with cancer, he was in a critical condition. The doctors said he would have to undergo emergency surgery. Hearing that an operation was the only way to save the patient, Kim Jong Il advised the doctors to go ahead.

However, the results of a pre-operation examination were not good. The patient’s vital signs suggested that there was little chance of the operation being a success.

In those days of national ruin, Kim Il Sung was born on April 15, 1912.
